About retrofit assessment

A retrofit assessment is the survey that starts any energy-efficiency project run under PAS 2035, the standard behind government-funded schemes and TrustMark-registered work. It records the home, its condition and how it is used, so the right measures can be planned safely.

Getting signed off in England

In England, your council’s building control team or a registered building control approver checks the work. They issue a completion or final certificate once they have the reports they need, such as the as-built SAP, EPC, air test and any sound or ventilation test results.
