The rules in Wales
Every new home is tested, with the same limit of 8.0 m³/(h·m²) at 50 Pa, and pulse tests are accepted. The limit stays the same under the new Welsh rules from March 2027.

Getting signed off in Wales
Building control in Wales works much like England. Your council or a registered building control approver checks the work and issues a completion or final certificate. Wales has its own Approved Documents, and all new and converted homes must have sprinklers.
