ECO4 uses PAS 2035 and covers Scotland until 31 December 2026. Home Energy Scotland grants and loans have their own rules, such as TrustMark or MCS installers and EPCs before and after the work, so check what your scheme asks for.

Getting signed off in Scotland

In Scotland, you need a building warrant from the council before work starts, and design evidence such as SAP and overheating assessments goes in with the application. At the end you submit a completion certificate with your test reports. The council then has 14 days to accept it, and you can’t move into a new building until it does, unless the council allows temporary occupation.
